700 Bent Tie-Rod Solution

A lot of people are bending the stock tie rods. As far as I know Mike Penland (706-746-2812) and JD Performance (www.jdperformanceatv.com 909-676-7957) have stronger ones. Some people have been building their own stronger tie rods out of thicker tubing or chrome moly.

When you replace them, measure the distance from end to end before removing the joints. Try to get the length as close to that as possible when you put the joints on the new rods.

You need to check the toe in after replacing tie rods or your V will handle really bad. See the 650 alignment document if you need some tips on how to set the toe in.
