700 Exhaust Mod

Want more perormance without loosing the quiet stock exhaust tone? Installed a second stock muffler on the right side. Difficulty rating 9 out of 10 (not for faint of heart).Took two people 9 hours (?), welder, tubing bender, and various cutting and griding tools.

Performance review and sound clip will be forthcoming.

1. He bought an additional stock exhaust system.

2. Cut the tube for the rear cylinder off the stock muffler and welded the hole shut.

3. Cut the tube for the rear cylinder off the second stock muffler and welded the hole shut.

4. Removed mounting brackets and heat shield brackets from second muffler and welded them in place so that the muffler would hang from the storage box bracket at the same height and position as the left muffler. He also bent the storage box bracket a bit so that muffler would fit better. He welded the heat shield back on the second muffler.

5. He bought a tubing bender from harbor freight (not really a lot of $$), and bent the stock exhaust tubing to go to the right side of the machine. We had to remove the flange and weld it back on at a different agle. We had to weld a bend that was cut from the front cylinder pipe on order to make the pipe bends right.

6. Paint with high temp paint.
