Congrats on the strong numbers Minimus! Sounds like a screamer. The curve you described also sounds pretty good...if I remember right, my last Dyno run showed my peak HP was at 21 mph. I hope to go back to a dyno sometime this spring (if and when I finally install nitrous).
So what RPM was your motor at when you hit peak HP? I'm guessing that is probably pretty close to where you are making the most HP, unless the clutch is WAY out of tune.
Do you have a tach? I just got an Acewell Tach for Christmas...I hope to use that to help me make adjustments to my clutch for the local 300' sand drags. If you have a tach, perhaps you can try heavier weights and test it to see what your rpms look like at your drag strip?
Happy trails...

Good numbers... Is this the same dyno you used before?
As far as tuning your clutch... the thing that worked best for me was to get a buddy , who I was close to race wise.. mark of 3, 400 ft or whatever.. line em up... then go try something.. and race again... of course.. you both can't make any changes...Tough to be able to notice any improvements on your own unless you have some sort of timer set up.

that's a good HP# similar as most other 840's I've seen. You are ported and larger valves??? if so I'd want you revving at 8500-8700 anyway. Bwoody's big valve 730 we had set up at 8900 shiftout. it liked it best there and made 70.5 rwhp
if you have a readout of the chart I can decipher what you can do to get some more out of it. I just need the RPM readings from 25-30-35-40 mph then I can tell what the clutch was doing. you run sand, so you'll want it up more than normal
a/f #1 get that lower. ported and 840 I'd shoot for 12.8:1.
i'd be happy with that. it's got to be a good runner.

that's the best way to do it. but find someone who is consistant. the speedo works, but sometimes you can run faster point a-b and it will show same speed on the speedo. or if you spin alot speed can go up, but times will be slower.

my 820 V with stock valves, trail race cams, 38mm carbs and porting peaked at 8100rpm on rays engine dyno, so you should definately be a bit higer with those big cams/valves/carbs and better pipe.. you are probably making power till atleast 8500rpm.. good numbers, i bet its a blast to drive

Great numbers!!! Enjoy it! Wouldn't the spring in the clutch depend on how fast it would rev? I don't know everything and I'm still learning so I'm just asking. I must have missed waht was all done to this motor so can you please tell me again because I didn't see it in this thread.
What are you mostly going to do with this Brute?

Good numbers!
What tires did you have on the brute during the pulls? I know that had to do a lot with the mph on the dyno. With 25"tires mine pulled til 108mph before it hit the rev limiter and only 88mph with 18".
