KLF250 vs 220?

Newbie here.

Just bought a 2005 KLF250. It has been setting for awhile.

Was just going to buy a new carb, but noticed that they run anywhere from $275 used, to $500+ new. :surprise: I've found 220 carbs for $35-$50.

Why the big difference? Maybe I haven't done enough research yet.

I ordered a re-build kit for the existing carb.

Would a 220 carb work on this? They "look" the same. Differences?

Thanks

More than likely the only difference is the jets. Check on the part number or a diagram and compare them to be sure before you buy one though. Or maybe someone else will chime in
