Update from St A., they only had a couple of runs last night, the photo shoot went untill almost dark.
The Turbo is leaving much better, good run go it and bad run for Metal they leave together, bad run for the Turbo and good run for Metal, metal stills get a little on the start but the Turbo catches and passes alot quicker and faster.
Then Metal's super doper spider mod clutch blow up, again second one. They put a stk clutch on it and apparently it is quicker.
That will be good advertising for you though John, it happened just as the mag guys were doing wheelie photo of Metals V. I can see the caption now "as Eric was roosting up the dune on the rear wheel's, there was a loud bang and parts started to fly" LOL
Just a good thing no one was hurt.
They are also setting the timers up today, they found a flat spot long enough to run not sure how far it is but we'll know later.
Monkey had a head gskts go out and they are fixing that now.
Will update again after the next call.

LOL, I don't think it was the gskt that failed on Toms but who ever installed the sleeves didn't get them bottomed so the sleeves moved a little, nothing that hasn't happened before, I guess we were there to many years ago.

I just hope he gets it sorted out. It would be nice to see some racing with all the machines running at their peak.

That's why I rolled my eye's, it's not a head gasket problem, it's a surface problem. LOL this will start a new fight with John too. He thinks it's a head gasket problem.

LOL, I don't know what Glen was using for head gskts but I can't imagine anything other then steel since they are available. We know those can stand a couple of years with a 117HP motor plus a 60-70HP shot of Nos.
Like I said, i've been there and done that had sleeves that were not set after the cylinders cooled so they droped.

Oh yea, everyone can get them now because I paid to get the die made, then Cometic started selling them to everyone when they said they wouldn't. Same as JE and Falicon. Now I get contracts from my suppliers so they can't do that. John's big deal is he says the 3 part steal ones is the problem.

I dont have the slightest clue on what exactly is the deal with Monkeys bike but those sleeves was a big time rush job from a local guy since the chrome plater messed up the oringal sleeves when they was plated. It was done so quick to make sure Tom got to St A's with his bike.
