Yes, but with the new secondary on the T4 when I mod the primary it lets the belt sit a hair lower in the primary and higher in the secondary decreacing the gearing off the start. something we could never do with the earlier secondaries. there'll be no belt squeal as the wet clutch keeps the clutches stopped at idle and the belt has no deflection as the secondary pinches it VERY tight all the time
the overdrive, it already has more than the T2. it actually has very similar travel to my stage 3 teryx modded t2 clutch. I can take it to the next level and max out the belt travel. you cannot bolt on a overdrive faceplate to these models. the faceplate and spider are stock very similar to what I do on the stage 3 teryx mod for the T2. They are FAR different vs a t2 clutch and they way they are setup.
what I'm not happy with is where is our goddamn adjustable helix. guys with bigger tires can benefit from a slower ramp on the helix angle. still we cannot adjust this, so we work around it with spring rates in the secondary (I don't have one this stiff here) we may be into snowmobile rates on these secondaries.
the weights. I see good things here as well as future upgrades to run wider and longer belts. which I can get into later. adjustable weights that I have in mind will be able to adjust MANY things. rev's, backshift, stall, engagment, belt-sheave clearances.
Springs for the Primary. I have them made already. hard to believe but the stock spring is STIFFER than my #2 primary. I have low-mid-high stall springs already available. #3-#4-#7 these use what we would have concidered "race springs"
I'm very happy with the clutching upgrades they have done and I look forward to seeing these motors and clutch setups on the atv models in the future. It'll be way worth it to have these in the atv's.
