Default snorkel questions

im going to snorkel my 2005 brute force 750. i was planning on going with the 2" pipes but do not want to have to rejet. ive found all the info on how to but nothing on how to not have to rejet. im also wondering about vent lines like which ones need to be moved up and what to use to extend them. is there anything im missing ? any thoughts are much appreciated. thanks

When ever you add more air to a intake system, your going to need more fuel, no other way around it

I've read of people having good luck when using the three inch snorkles for the air box. No rejetting req'd. That's what I've read. Maybe someone will chime in and confirm that for you.

If you go to MudInMyBlood Forums forum they have a few threads on building snorkels and what all needs to be done with the set up including rejetting.

Default 05 brute 750

If I were you,and I will be reinstalling my snorkles,I would install the 3" intake and 2" CVT snorkles. Most people prefer the center snorkles instead of the side snorkles due to if your bike tips over in deep water, the side snorkles are usally the first to go under water - center snorkles are in the center.I plan on installing mine just as high as the front pod is,cause I dont go super deep over the bars.My snorkles were more to prevent water from getting in the air box on creek riding or trial water pits. The 2" has been a real PITA to rejet,And is still ongoing.I have I believe a Kehin 148 front jet and a 152 rear jet,a #40 pilot and stock needles with one 3mm shimm under each needle, stock bike other than snorkles.I have to still restrict air to get her to run right.I've been over jetted - under jetted and needle shimmed to the point of rage dialling her in.If you remove the cover on the intake of the box,and stick the 90 deg. rubber boot on the air box, take her out for trial rides and see how she does - this will give a good idea how she'll run. Please keep all posted.

Default snorkles

Oh yeah,I forgot to mention. The set up I posted above ,in the center pic shows a used carb boot in the 2" intake. With that in the intake, she'll wheelie as much as you want her to.The bike is sooo snappy on the throttle to.If I take out the boot, she falls on her face at 1/8 to 1/2 throttle which should be the carb needles - but have not achieved a good shimming of needles for just a straight 2" intake.
