CDI box

Hello,
I am new to Kawasaki and new to the forum but not new to ATV's. I have a 1998 Bayou 400 4x4. While getting ready for a ride today, it would not start, no spark. I talked to a friend who said check the CDI. He said give it a good crack on the frame and see what happens. It started and ran all day today with no problems. My question is, is this normal when this thing is bad?

i can t tell you since i am still new to four wheeeling and don`t know much but it.could be a good indacator if it turns out not to be expensive then change it and see what happenes.

Put a dyna cdi on it and be done!
