My 750 on pavement will in 2wd,will slightly spin tires then the front end comes up to a wheelie. On dirt she'll mostly spin tires on a launch until the tires find rocks or hard ground to grab.like I said before, you need to either shimm the needles with two washers and make sure needles are correct - the factory needles look like their stainless steel not brass like DJ or Moose - nfkk front/nfkl rear or both nfkl.If that don't work pull carbs and tell us what jets are in there - and you still have not gave us a plug reading.Bring it to Reading,Pa. to my house - I'll get her running right. Also forgot to ask if she ran fine before and now issues or did you get this quad this way like I bought mine in the same condition.

Recon Ill search the threads here. see if this thing could have some sort of clutch issue. Ive never seen something with so many issues. well guess that not completley true. just got rid of a 230 Quadsport that was shot. but was it ever a fun ride. she had no breaks, and bad swing arm bearings. and smoked like he-- I had it tuned to run great even with all them issues. had that thing completely tore down just to it was a basket case any ways. Built it just to finish it off. bad rings.
This brute seems ok. running gears are in grate shape. Had to do a mod on the 4x4 actuator. it was junk. and had to do away with the electric break as well. Ive put on a new belt. adjusted the valves and fixed the rear bus connector. I been seeing there is one up front as well. not found it yet to check it out. I know the guy before me has put the fan on a switch. I am almost certin this things been swamped. took 3 days to actually clean this thing when I got it covered in bird shit and thick mud. cleaned up good. not sure how he got an inch of mud on top of the fuel tank but had to clean that crap off too. Complete oil change and see foam. cleaned carbs seveal times. new plugs. when I got her she wouldnt start. only started on spray. She will start easy now and runs pretty good just trying to figure out the bugs that are left. Im just not sure what they are. I know its has a flat mid range and flat on the top. not sure on the speed the dash is jacked up. you can still read the warning lights and 4x4/2x4 lights just not the speed. I know toped out my 300 honda smokes this thing with the wife on the 300 and myself on the brute. Im thinking the top end thing has something to do with the cluches. The engine is runnining pretty hard but just lacks speed. But I also know it has a flat spot on the throttle right around 1/2 throttle. say im running maybe 1/4 throttle and pen it to full there is a lag before she will spin up to full throttle. once it does get spun up the cluches just dont seem to pull up to speed as quick. Ive nevery really delt to much with CV systems. for the most part they have always worked right. Had to rebuild one on an old as sled. it was acting sorta like this the weights in it were wore out.

If you have no speed indicator at the dash, you may have no speed signal to the CDI. That will throw everything off. Check the speed sensor (to the rear of the belt housing and mounted in the engine case) and all the wiring.

Ah ha,more of the story comes out.Good point NovaKaw650. Soldier,if you can or get time, take the cvt cover off,and see what color spring is in the primary clutch.if the previous owner was mudding with this thing, maybe he had some big a-- tires on it with different clutch springs as well. With the wrong clutch springs yeah it would not perform.

im sure this things been around the block a time or to think the guy i got it from used it in some club. ill look into the springs. its got 25 10 12s for tires on it. im wanting to put 26s on it and a snorkle. I dont see how you can do much mudding on one of these with out one. what a crapy design for an air box wonder what guy designed that stuipd thing. putting the darn breather hole lower than the air cleaner and in the front. thats asking to suck water in. Is there suspose to be some sort of splash guards. IE inner fenders an maybe some thing below the front of the air cleaner. Im wondering if there is some stuff missing.

i'm thankful that my quad is still going strong.I bought it last Feb.2011 for 4100.00 up in N.Bergen N.J. - was a 3 1/2 hour to and from.got her home and started fixing things. First was carbs and set the valves, then repaired chokes, installed snorkles 2" intake then 3" intake, rejetted again after snorks both installs, then replaced all wheel bearings and ball joints - All Balls brand.Next big thing will be a frame with vin#'s on it,Pa. title and insurance,RAC Pass..... In between there maybe I can finish welding/fabbing up my rear bumper.

Have you given my thought above ANY consideration?

Not sure how to do the copy and past thing to awser your question. I have thought about your sugestion. and will look into it. My speedo does partly work. you can see part of the numbers. but Ill check into the OHMS of those sensers. I am wondering if have both the electic breaking system and 4x4 removed has any effect. Ive not gotten around to splicing in the 5 prong relay yet. But inless there is a diffrent limiter in the ECU. having the two removed dosent effect it like limp mode for the belt or the reverse limiter. Well Im gooing to try and post some picks of the beasts tonight. Thanks for the feed back.
