Default Brute/Teryx Motor Swap

Anyone here ever swap motors between a brute and teryx? I'm considereing putting an 05 brute in an 09 teryx and vice versa.

I know the bevel gears have to be changed along with the side cover and clutches. What else? How difficult a job is it?

Should not be too bad. The brute motor is out of the frame already.

one is carbed, the other is efi, so u have to change out the whole wiring harness, bevel gears intake setup. Why not just change out the jugs, pistons and heads. Im assuming u want the tyrex to be an 840.

Yes 05 brute 840 in the teryx.

Maybe I didn't explain it well. The carbs/efi will stay with the original bike, so why would the wiring harness have to be changed? Same with the intake setup. The throttle bodies will attach to the intakes same as the carbs correct?

I'm asking about the physical differences in bare bones motors. Pull motor out of teryx, put brute motor in teryx.
