Default Prairie 300 4x4

hey gang just purchased this 99 model prairie 300 4x4 for $800.00 . The little prairie was purchased for my girlfriend to ride because she is tired of being on the back of mine all the time . I purchased this from the original owner who only used it on his cattle farm . The quad cranks and runs excellent - shifts from neutral to reverse fine and from high range to low range fine - brakes work good - i rode the quad for over five miles with no problems before i purchased it and went over it and could not find any leaks of any kind . Now the bad the front end feels loose so when i got it home i put it on the lift and looks like it will need some ball joint and some tie rod ends . Besides the worn out front end and tires and it being really dusty i will be doing a partial restoration on this thing so it can be trail reliable . Who makes the better ball joints and tie rods and what mods can be done to make it a little peppy ?

OEM for the ball joints and rod ends. Congrats on your purchase, darn good deal.

For your info i found some factory rims and tires that were dealer take offs from an 09 brute force - i needed new tires anyways and purchased them for $200.00 and brought them home . Just for shitz and giglez i took off the tire on the right rear side just to see if the rim and tire from the brute force would even be close to fitting and BAM the thing bolted right on with no problems - will post pics in the morning for proof - have not checked the front but as of right now i know for certain that the rears from the 09 650 brute force will bolt directly on your 99 model prairie 300 4x4 . In the morning when i get off from work i will check the fronts and snap some pics for proof

Well finally got off work this morning - had to work over - but i did manage to put the tires and rims from from the 09 brute force 650 on my 99 prairie 300 4x4 - no modifications needed - they were a complete bolt on . The front tires stayed the same 25x8x12 and the rear tires changed from 25x11x10 to the 25x10x12 . Proof is in the pics

agreed. i got a 2000 300 4x4 for $900 and all it needed was a damn rough brake job lol. yours sounded way easier to fix. but a hell of a deal none the less

I've always liked the P300; more speed than the P360 as well.
