03 bayou carb problems

I have a 2003 bayou 250. I rebuilt carb because its sat for a few years. Didn't run before rebuild. Now it starts up but runs terrible. Idles extremely high, which I can adjust. But engine makes a clicking noise, and the rpms drop and bike dies... there is hesitation on acceleration with popping and bogging. What could be causing this? What would be stock setting for air/fuel mixture screw that is on bottom of carb, and setting for idle screw on side of carb? Really confused as what clicking would be. Any help would be great. Thanks

You obviously have Carb problems and your chain tensioner is probably frozen making that clicking sound if it isn’t just a really out of adjustment valve.
- Rebuild Carb and adjust valves first. Then try again.

I just had the same problems on my 2006 bayou. Broke the front axel and it sat for 2 years before i got around the getting it fixed. About a month ago, i got the axel fixed and took the carb off and nothing but junk all in there blocking everything. Let it sit in a bucket of carb cleaner for a week and cleaned it like bnrand new. Put it on and ran horriable for a while but keep on riding it and it started to get better. Been running it about everyweekend and it runs great now. Just had to keep ajusting the mixture screw and idle screw while riding

air fuel mix screw should start at 1.5 turns out from lightly seated.
