Default Help tightening 2008 drive belt.

Hey,
I have a question regarding the tightening of a 2008 Kawasaki Prairie 360 drive belt. The belt is in great condition, itís just loose. I have read different forums online but none of them really give clear description on how to tighten an existing belt. I have read to add/remove shims to the clutch and I have also read to add/remove shims from the drive pulley. Has anyone ever tightened their drive belt, and if so how exactly is this done? Thanks in advance for any information.

Taking shims out will tighten the belt........but make sure the play is within the specs............get you a service manual for it and do the job right.....some of these guys may send you one if you ask............

You take shims out of the DRIVEN clutch (the rear one)there is no shims in the drive clutch . I do have a manual but it is for the 750i .The belt system is the same (different springs and weights) but it will show you how to set up the belt if you want it.
