wet winch question

if i ride in creeks alot is this gonna damage my winch since it mounts so low???????

I have a Warn 2500 and have never had any problems with water. But i would take the time every so often and dissasemble it to clean out leftover mud and crap. I know it is a pain in the butt to remove it and stuff but it is cheper in the long run.

The 3000Warn is totally sealed(advertized), I had mine under mud/water/snow and it still works like new. It's mounted as low as you can get on the factory Prairie mount holes, with 27's it works perfect, pulls you uP and oUT.

You should clean the 2500Warns once a year or so, seen them gunked up, before winter hits wouldn't be a bad time.
