I've been looking for a new quad, and have read a lot of forums and decided to get a Brute. So a new Brute Force comes with 6 months factory warranty? Is everything covered? What does the 2 year extended warranty cover and how much is it.

You can buy the Kaw Good Times 36 mo. warranty online for about $400.00. Dunno how much a 2 yr one is. The dealer is gonna try to get more. DO NOT buy any warranty other than the Kawasaki "Good Times " waranty. The others are just insurance policies, and IMO, are WORTHLESS.
I have had good experience with warranty coverage, though, the warranty is as good as the dealer, IMO. Go to the dealer service dept. to get copies of TSB's and recall notices. TSB= technical service bulletin. There are TSB's on frt. and rear control arm mount bolts and mounting points, the frt. carb needle, maybe tie rod ends loosening up.

The 6 mo. warranty covers motor problems... Tie rods are typically not covered. You will see alot of people talking about how weak the BF tie rods are. I have bent one so far.. As far as recalls... Only one I know of is the A-Arm bolt but if your buying it new, I;d say you will be fine. Also, you can find places that will get you an ext warranty for like $375 or around. Price around... I have to buy my ext warranty here pretty soon. I think you will really like the Brute once you get used to it.. Good luck!

Yeah, basically covers the same thing. Mainly motor defects... such as drive shaft leaking, cyclinders, any type of low end misses, they will look at your brute for ya. As far as busting a rack or breaking plastic, or even breaking a tie rod, they normally wont cover it. Unless you really were just riding down the road and something happened to the tie rod.. Also, most dealers will not warranty an atv if you put oversize tires on, splice the wiring, put different modules on. You might want to ask the dealership if its covered if you put aftermarket parts on, such as tires, modules, exhuasts, etc. If he says No, make sure you keep the stockers, and if you purchase any mods, go with a plug and play, that way if anything happens, you can throw the dunflops back on and all the original parts and take it back.

Ok, that's what I needed. I'm not worried about plastics and racks, but I dont want to be shelling out thousands on a brand new quad and then have to pay for the engine to be fixed if it wasn't my fault. What about things like the diffs?
I plan on mods, but not till the future. I'll keep it to stuff I can quickly replace, like tires and a module until my warranty is up. |

there are some sophisticated electronics on a BF750. THAT is why I bought the X-warranty. My past warranties have covered ball joints, wheel bearings. I'd like to think that it would cover ALL things NOT considered wear items. Wear items being belt, brake lining, rotors, batteries, cv boots, etc.

It all depends on the dealer. The dealer I went to is a cheap $ss and wouldnt cut me and my dad a deal. Said he couldnt go any lower than $425 a piece, which is what he priced it to me at first. There is a place in TX that sells them for $325. Try the search on this forum for Brute Force Warranty and its posted on here somewhere. Probably about 4 or 5 pages back. If you can get it around $350-$400 from your dealer, its probably a good idea to take it. What kind of price did you get on the Brute anyways? I got mine for $6500 OTD. Whats the location also?
