Thumbs up

http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/ATV...ormance/Outlaw/

Its basically a Preditor 500 with IRS rear suspension. It only weighs 24lbs more than the Preditor and its seat height is 1/2" shorter than the Predators. On paper, it looks like a pretty good set up for handling deep ruts and bumping sections on a XC course. What do you guys think?

Happy trails...

I think the IRS is a good idea. The Outlaw might not have more power, but might be faster due to the smoother ride.

I guess to me it depends on how soft the susp. is if it's soft i think it will be slower in the woods moi.

IRS is for cruisers who want a smooth ride and rock crawlers who need to keep traction all the time. For racing and trail riding you can't slide around turns like you need or want to. NOT A FAN OF IRS OR POLARIS

You obviously didnt watch the video on the link. It slides pretty easy. My Brute 840 slides very easily, just as easily as a sra will.

i bet that the straight axle would win everytime with equal riders on a p700 and bf750 racing thru the woods.i have yet to see great high speed turning out a an irs yet when compared to a straight axle quad.time will tell, maybe that sway bar makes enough of a difference for the handling and sliding around the turns.not trying to make anyone angry, just pionting it out.a straight axle and an irs are 2 totally different handling machines.

Just because it can slide doesn't mean it can do it as easy or with the same controll. In the video he is driving on a gravel road, of coarse its easy to slide. Around here we don't have many gravle tracks, maybe u do. On banked out dirt with ruts like our tracks are, you can't keep the speed with irs becuase there is no slide. If IRS was better I think racers would have been using irs a long time ago. Besides, that guy, in the video, is hanging way off to the inside of that atv to keep the suspension from rolling. Show a person on a bike with sra and they won't have to lean near that much. Check the video AGAIN.
