I got 2300 miles on my BF, and some stuff is starting to wear out (a arm bushings, steering stem bushings, front input shaft seal, and a few other little things) IF the dealer will give me 4-5k on a trade in, I owe $4,700, I was thinking about trading it in on a new '07. Since I will not be riding as often as I did this year because where I ride used to be trails, then it slowly turned into a highway, which will be opening in about a month. I just want something thats gonna be really reliable. Anyone give me any insight? Is this a good idea?

Depends on how much money you have. If you trade it in, most likely they will not give you as much as you owe. So you will owe for a brand new machine plus a little bit left over from your '06. If you don't mind the payment, then go ahead. Or you could fix yours for less than the loss your gonna take on it. I personally never trade up on anything I still owed on. It's an easier decision if the old one is paid for.
