My four-wheel drive wont work. Flip the button and it just wont engage. Nothing on the display is indicating a change from 2 to 4 wheel drive either. Thanks in advance

I have seen this problem before. There are electrical connectors under the front fenders. If the connectors pull apart, the switch cannot ground the circuit. Look above each front wheel, they are loosly attached to the frame. Suspension movement unplugs them sometimes.

I took apart the bus connector under the front fender today and sadered the wires together. I also noticed that my speedometer isnt working. Does this have something to do with the 4 wheel drive? is it all connected to something thats not working? Thanks

Sounds like the speed sensor. This sensor is on the right side, if your sitting on the atv just behind your heel.

The service manual walks you through the tests for this part. I have an 05 Prairie 700 service manual and can send you a link to download if this will help?

www.ATVPT.com - Service_Manuals

Here is the manual, Im guessing the Brute is very similar. You can use safety pins to slide into the controller wiring harness and a volt meter to do all the checks.

To debug this issue go to section 17-79 and it will walk you through everything. It takes maybe 20minutes.
