Throttle Cable Sticking

I installed a new throttle cable about 2 weeks ago. Now it sticks sometimes i try to stop and finally it will idle back down. What can I check?

Check the routing of the the cable, look for kinks and sharp bends that may cause restriction. Check the return spring on the carb assembly, could be caked with dried mud,swamp grass or something.
