I had to replace my starter ring gear due to several broken teeth, I believe it has happened again. Is there any way around this or do you just have to be careful when starting the quad and not let it kick back? Does this happen with the Diamond G DG5 and 6 degree key?

Mine kicks back sometimes.
The best way to avoid it,is to open the throttle a little when you crank it over.
