Default Can't get primary clutch off

650 Prairie
I just got a very nice primary clutch in today. I went and tried to remove the old primary and chit. It won't move and it's been on for about month. The old one needs to be rebuilt or tossed. Is there an easy way to get this thing off.

yeah a clutch removal tool. removing the bolt dont mean its coming off. since the tw spec is 69 ft-lbs your pressing the clutch onto the shaft.

the tool i think is around 30 bucks or so.

have VFJ rebuild it for you.

Yes i have the tool to remove it. The clutch is off a 04 KFX 700. It's not in the greatest shape. When the funds are available VFJ will get the new one for a drag cut.

I have applied some heat that didn't work. Now i sprayed it down with some chit for over night. I hope something works.

Put just a little dab of grease on the tip of the puller. Put some tension on the puller and take a hammer and lightly tap the end of the puller.

do you have an impact. I use a 1/2 drive to remove my primary and secondary.
sorry thought you didnt have a tool.

you can also try the tapping of the tool like the other have said. but i would tap and tighten down alittle more then tap again. and keep trying till it eather pops or snaps apart. eather way it will come off.

i guess because my clutch comes off alot its easy just alittle touch of the button on the 1/2 drive impact gun and pop its off. i also use light coating of anti seize on the threads. plus i keep the crank shaft end clean of dirt and rust. i also never over tighten the bolt. every time its at factory specs. and after 6 times of off and on i replace the bolt. replaced it twice.
