Default brute 750 problem

i have an 06 brute force 750 and i was going to ride then it starts backfiring like it does when your going in reverse and not holding the overide button, tried pressing the button but doesnt do anything, figured electrical but hoping somone can tell me where to look, thnks

sounds like you belt switch was flipped, pull the CVT cover and examine your belt, chances are its coming apart, replace the belt, and flip the toggle switch back to the ON position, put cover back on and reset the light

well it was right after i unplugged the cdi box or computer or whatever, then plugged it back in and it started doing that, switch is flipped on but idk how to reset the belt light
