extended warranties often don't cover wearable parts such as bushings, bearings, brakes, cv joints etc. really have to read the fine print. Also extended warranties also arent always directly through kawasaki, After your 6 months is up its often through a another company....especially if the warranty bought through the dealership, not from kawasaki.

Youll have to make a few phone calls so call kawie corp have them open a repair warranty ticket. Also find out who the state or area dealer rep is for your area. call him or her as well. Sounds like the dealer in your area isnt much into service.

chestnut, hit it on the head... i stopped buying from some dealers here locally bc of there customer service.... your warranty is only as good as your customer service with that dealer... yeah they might have a great price on the bike and parts but they refuse to help you once you walk out the door with it...
and like they stated above... if they do it to one bike they should do it to all of them... its all in how far the dealer is willing to work for you the customer... they can tell the corp guys whatever they want on those tickets and charge them for parts.... all they have to do is take the old parts and stock pile them... seldom do they ask for them back... its a big racket if you ask me...

I would say the problem is the service manager at the dealer. I would call Kawasaki.
I have 65 hrs and 300 miles on my 2008 Brute. The dealer I bought it from has replaced the fuel pump twice, the entire front differential, inner tie rod ends, torn cv boots three times and the electric fan. I brought my bike to them with larger diameter tires, an exhaust and snorkels, they never said a word. The service manager said he would replace anything Kawasaki would accept under warranty. Only prick service managers turn you into the manufacturer and void your warranty for doing light mods. I would protest that dealer to everyone you know and go to another. Most dealers try to take care of their customers.

here is my 2 cents on this issie.. as stated, the warranty is only as good as the dealership.. yes thats true, but I have a theory that if you go to a dealership ad jew the dealer down to below what he is wanting to sell it for, then when it comes to get service work, i think he is less likely to help you.. If the dealer gets full asking price out of you, then he is making his money and will help you out a little more because he knows he can probably get some more money out of you on other parts and he will be more willingly to help out...
So basically, i think when you take a bike in, they look at what you paid for your bike and decide where to go from there... Now, i realize some dealers are WAY easier to work with, but i am pretty sure they have a system they go by........ or at least most of them...
