Default Brute force 750 i 2009

So here is the problem Every thing that could prossible set of the belt failure detection system happened. Dead Battery shorted booster cable to frame 100 hrs the works. Reset the system using the service bulletin from kawasaki. Worked ,belt light no longer flashed and engine starts. Now that it accually starts it will only run for about 5 seconds then shuts off. starts right back up but will not keep running the engine revs up if you press on the gas but wont keep going. fresh gas added after tank drained Any suggestions????

Could have damaged the ECU when you shorted the jumper cables to frame.

Yeah it is possible but don't start troubleshooting with parts unless you got a buddy with one to swap parts with.

Vehicle down sensor can do weird things, mine was out of place and it would start sometimes and sometimes it would not.

Default 2009BF 750 5 second run time

Never went up side down or even close dont know what that part even is located to check it out.

I parked the quad the the shed and left the key on Killing the battery it also has just over 100 hrs on the clock. I reset the Belt failure detection system as per the procedure. Because the thing was running perfectly when I put it away there must be somthing stupid simple no? how can you go from running so well then nothing 5 second run time then shuts off. Is there any way to test the Ecu thingy

Default Brute side lined by upside down sensor

The biggest problem with kawasaki in Sudbury ontario Canada is that the service is brutal. In Sturgeon falls Ontario The dealer did not even want to tell me the procedure for resetting the belt indicator over the phone. Drive 1hr and 45 min one way and no way could look at it to day have to leave it and return in a few days to get it back for a 1.5 min fix at 85 buck an hour shop time and if you dont have even a little bit of a clue they will charge more shop hrs spent diagnosing the problem.

THANKS to this site and all whom responded expecially the fellow who suggested the upside down sensor that was the problem it was exactly that upside down now that it is right side up the bike runs fine. I still hate kawis sorry guys the old 500 suzuki I have is 10 times the bike minus a little speed but a whole lot less trouble
