Default electrical issue

Hi all. I am new to the site and hope some of you guys can offer some input. I have a 2007 Brute Force 650. The key was left on and the battery went dead. My son jumped the battery with our charger in "start engine" mode which uses 250 amp surge to start a dead car battery. The ATV started and ran, however the lights would not work nor did the dash screen. After running it for about an hour we turned the motor off and the battery was completely dead, again.
I have sinced removed the battery and charged it up slowly, tested it, and reinstalled it. IT STILL DOES NOT TURN THE MOTOR. When I turn the key on -- the dash screen comes on. When I push the start button -- the dash screen goes out and NOTHING happens. I am wondering if we fried something when he started it with that high amp starter??
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!

Instrument cluster requires a good strong battery to operate, same with the lights. Sounds like your battery dropped a cell when it was drained down. A new battery will fix everything, easy fix.
