Default fuel filter?????

Iam having a problem on top end. When I get around 55 mph, and keep holding it wide open It cuts out maybe for just a sec. i was wondering if there was a fuel filter. its seems like a fuel problem. It has new plugs, and the coils look good. It just does it on top end wide open.

Did you resolve this problem? It happens to me once and a while.

Does it cut out and then continue to pull, or does it keep sputtering and stay at 55mph?

Last time it happened, I just filled up the gas tank after riding for about four hours. During the first four hours of riding, nothing happened.

Then after about 10 minutes of riding it stumbled/ cut out briefly at high speed. Upon stumbling, I would ease off the gas and gently re-apply the throttle and the machine was off running strong again. This happened a couple more times during the ride. We ended the ride at a frozen lake where I dragged raced Outlanders for an hour, balls out, with no problem.

Very intermitant problem.

Cheers
