Default Fuel pump

So i bought my 09 brute 750i in oct. and so far its failed to keep 2 fuel pumps in it. I have about 1200 miles on it and prolly 100hr. and i believe that another one is going. My question to everyone is does anybody think that contacting kawasaki would help me at all? I mean is there something like a lemon law or anything? Because I dont see how this is anything I am doing to make it go and I dont understand how I should be held to pay for a $500 fuel pump after my warranty runs up. Anybody have any ideas thoughts?

What are the reasons for the pump failures?

I kind of figured that would be the case. The pumps are {or should be} VERY reliable if kept debris free. I ran my check valve up to the pod with an external line, and installed a small fuel filter on the end of the hose to act as a, well, filter for the check valve........
