4x4 problems will not go into 4wd
Hi i have an 05 brute force 750.
It willnt go into 4wd. when i turn the switch to 4wd the indicator just stays at 2wd and the actuator doesnt move or make noise? i tryed a buddies controler and that didnt work. i put mine is his bike and mines good. manuel say dead controler but its not that. i have not done the BUSS fix yet could this be my problem? side note, i was just have tones of issues with the bike backfireing and missing could these be linked?
what should i be checking???
thanks for all your help!

The buss connector is a must for 05 and 06, but one more spot to check is the fuse, and fuse box itself they are known to corrode underneath. There is a connector on the bottom of the box that gos bad.

Yah the fuse itself usually fine, its the connection the fuse plugs into and the connector under that too, on the bottom of the fuse box. So pull the one 10mm bolt off and lift the box up to check that too. Oh and dielectric grease is your friend use it on all of the electrical plugs on the bike. I do this on all of my wheelers including new the ones.

I got mine to work. My buss was already fixed when I checked it. What I did was jacked it up and put it into 4wd started to run the bike at about 4 km hr. Then I taped the front actuator with the end of the screw driver abot the tenth time it clicked in and started to work. Now it is going in and out just fine. Hope this helps someone out.
Thanks for all your ideas

Yah the speed sen will do it too. Speaking of the wheeler needs do be rolling around 1mph or so but less then 12mph or so, to switch back in forth. its some safety thing they have.
