Default Valve adjustment

Hi all. I have a 09 kfx 700 which needs valve adjustment every 3 or 4 tanks. It now seams to have a problem which I think might mean it time to take the front head off. Problem is!!! Intake valves. Even with the lash adjusters removed there is no valve to rocker clearance. Have done the check of possibly being out 180 degrees. Timing all seams well. If I rotate the engine by hand the valves still go up and down but don't come all the way up, when rotated so that the rocker arm is on the rear of the cam lobe I can get a small screwdriver and lever the rocker arm up and it will "click and lift up higher but still have no valve clearance. Any ideas before I strip it down.
Am hoping someone out there will tell me it's a easy 10 min fix but I doubt it...

Has this not already been asked and answered elsewhere?

The only thing I can add is if the 700 was still running, and you don't have any valve clearance even with the adjusters removed, then the quad absolutely would not start. Make sure that the rocker arms aren't seized up.

Nope, no ten minute fix here.
As you suspected, the valves are now completely worn out, and probably ruined the seats in the head. Minimum will be to buy new intake valves and find a trustworthy machine shop to recut the seats, unless they have worn too deep. If the seats are in decent shape, you may be able to lap the new valves to the old seats, but considering the wear in your case, I doubt that will be an option. I wouldn't run the engine any more, the edges of the valves are now so thin that they could break off and trash a cylinder.
Keep an eye on the classified ads on this site; there are often good heads for sale. Watch Ebay as well.

I have the same problem. Took the head off and luckily I caught it in time valves were wore really thin and seats were wore a little but were not beyond repair. Took the heads to the shop and he said he could recut the seats for 20 bucks a head.
