I just wanted to tell all you guys about my trip to buttercup this past weekend. My V was hooking up awesome, I took out almost every quad I raced up the hill the only quads that beat me were the yamaha 450's not by much, a 500 quadzilla,a few banshees and when they did beat me it was because I messed up in the whoops. A guy on a DS was racing me I beat him every time, he followed me back down the hill and he told me that was the first time he was beat by a v-force he was impressed. also how do post pics?

From what i hear, removing the airbox lid isnt the best idea in the world. I think everyone who has done it on this forum has had bad results with it.

Yes, I have a homemade snorkel that replaced the stock one, then I used the stock snorkel to make a second air hole to the right of the new one. And I'm using 160/165 jetts I also took off about 25lbs of parts from my v.

If you don't mind me asking did you put the stock one on the other side laying sideways? Also what kind of stuff did you take off?

Yes I put the old snorkel laying sideways. I took off all my skid plates, foot guards, saved weight by adding aftermarket exhaust, grab bar i'm still working on the frame to see if I could do some work with it, with out weakening it.

I did the same thing Napa hose in the factory hole and I cut down the stock

snorkel and put it on the right side of the airbox (straight up) I am running dyno

jet 136 & 140. I also have a 2 inch hole in the back top of my airbox lid.

I have purchased a new lid and going to do some testing between the lids.
