I'm looking for a set of stock rims/tires from a V-force to use on my P650 for XC racing. I'm hoping that the smaller tires will lower my ctr of gravity and improve handling/steering in the tight woods sections.

Does anyone have an set of these stock wheels that they are interested in selling for cheap? Send me a PM if you do.

Happy trails...

i'm in the process of selling my set now.. check the classifieds. i'm sure there are a few people here with a set of stockers. Seems us V-Force riders change our rims lots.

If for some reason the sale don't go through, i'll let you know..

MIKEY... the rear wheels will fit, but the V Force, like alot of other sport ( reads 2 wd ) quads, uses different bolt patterns on the front & rear... I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I know the rears are 4 on 137 & believe the fronts are 4 on 110 ???

Yep the rears on the prairie and the v are the same 4 on 137. The front of the V is 4 on 144. This is the sometimes called Honda pattern, as this is the same bolt pattern from the old Fourtrax 250R. 4 on 144 is also used on the 400EX, 300Ex, Z400, KFX400, DVX400, and the Cannondale quads. All of the above use 4 on 110 on the rear.

I am not sure, but I thought the prairies were 4 on 137 on the front also?

So it now appears that I need stock v-force rims/tires for the rear and 10" rims with 4x137 bolt pattern for the front. Does anyone know if there are any sport quads that come with 10" rims and a 4x137 bolt pattern for the front tires?

Happy trails...

Mikeyboy,

I can't think of anything that uses 4 on 137 except for the kawasaki utility (or sport-utility) quads. As a matter of fact, it is a pain to find rims in the 4 on 137 that fit the rear. Very limited options as far as widths and offsets. This is why I am probably going to get 400EX hubs for my V and go to a 4 on 110 pattern.

You might be able to find a 6 inch wide by 12 inch diameter wheel in that bolt pattern and use something like a 23x8x12 tire to get to a similar height to the rear holeshot 22x11x10. A titan 489 comes to mind that would be avail in that size. Start calling some mail order companies and tell them what you looking for. I would try

www.rockymountainatv.com
www.nacsracing.com
www.treadepot.com
www.magicracing.com
www.ronnies.com

By the way, I think most of the guys running cross country are using 25x8x12 up front and 25x10x12 out back, sticking to the same size wheels as stock. I see alot of Maxxis All traks being used. They have a lower profile then the stockers, but you won't have to worry about screwing up your gear ration when using 4WD.
Good luck!

Bandaman,
Thanx for all of the suggestions.

Bottom line on the 12" rims is that I cannot find any 22" tires to fit on a 12" rim. Of course, there are plenty of 22" tires that will fit an 8, 9 or 10" rim. Thus, I won't be able to use any kind of 12" rim for the front or rear if I want 22" tires.

I have searched alot today and at this point I have to believe that none of the popular ATVs come with a 10" rim on the front and a 4x137 bolt pattern.

I'm starting to think I have only 3 options for finding 10" (front) rims for my P650. 1st is to drill out the holes on a 10" rim so that it will be 4x137 (but I don't like this idea!), 2nd is to find a non-atv 10" rim with a 4x137 bolt pattern (like a lawn mower rim or trailer rim) and 3rd is to order a custom-made rim for my quad (not a cheap alternative I'm sure!).

If anyone else has any thoughts, I'm all ears!

Happy trails...

Mikeyboy,

Go to www.treadepot.com and click on wheels, then atv wheels. It will list all the sizes of Douglas wheels they carry. I came across this one:

10X7 4B+3N 4/137.190 DOUGLAS WHEEL $ 56.00 ea

This might be the hot ticket for you, then you can find a 22x8x10 or 23x8x10 tire to fit it. It is a little wide, but I think an 8 inch wide tire will fit fine. I also see they have an 11x6 wheel in that bolt pattern. You could then find a 23x8x11 tire that might match up with you rears.

Drilling out some other wheels to fit the 4 on 137 pattern isn't a bad idea, just make sue that whoever does it, chucks that thing up machine shop style and gets that bolt circle perfectly centered on there. Alot of racers in the past use to simply eyeball their hub on the wheel and spray paint over the bolt holes, then drill out the spots where the bolts go. Low tech, but seemed to work.

I hope this helps.

Mikey,Just a thought, but drilling them is no big deal.I now have a couple of sets of rims that will fit almost anything, lol.

4/137 is 4 holes on a 137 mm diameter circle. 4/4 is 4 holes on a 4 inch circle(polaris),....etc.

Find some cheap honda (4/144) wheels on e bay and drill em?.
PS my own opinion on your situation would be to find a good 25(many only measure 24 anyways),as I don't think personally I would want to lose that ground clearance on this model. JMO.

Ask HIGHENERGY on here to email you a pic of his BATTERED V force rear end from Rouch Creek Penn. I was there,It was horrible.

Hry Highenergy...Post that pic for us,lol

PS ..not trying to change your mind Mikey, just giving info
