This is what I am looking at for a 2nd dune bike. This would be perfect because it would allow me to keep the V-Force and have this to build into a pure dunes only machine. I was planning to build a quad from the frame up anyway, so this provides me with the perfect platform. The powervalved LT motor can be built to make some hellish power, and while it's no Banshee it should run very well. I plan on putting a Trinity 300 big bore in it. Here's the auction--now don't go running my bid up guys

LT250R Auction

No biggie, I've had Banshees down to the frame on several occasions. These old two-strokes are a piece of cake to tear down and reassemble. The motor will go directly to Arizona to get attention from Quicksand Motorsports--hopefully by the time I get the motor back the quad will be assembled and ready to install the motor. Here's what I did with my old Banshee--the only thing left stock was the actual frame structure.

Here's the Banshee stock

And here's what I did to her

The buildup of my old 'shee is along the lines of what I have in mind for this Suzuki. The nice thing about all this is the 700 gets to stay home and become the wife's "new quad"

Killer__Shee, If you are looking for a fast project, I have this bike that we could probably work a nice deal on. It is a 1988 LT250R with a 1988 KX500 motor in it that is bored to a 540 I believe. It also has several other things done to it. All it needs is a kicker. We could probably get a deal done under $2000 minus shipping.

Here are some pics.

desdak,

I already won the auction, but I appreciate the offer. I think I can make this machine run pretty good. Talked to Trinity about the motor, talked to Quicksand Motorsports about the motor, and I talked to C&D Racing about the motor. I think C&D is going to do the work for me, I've seen one of his LT's run and they are damn strong. He told me he'd do some porting, put a Coolhead on it, a 39mm PWK, and a pipe. He said after that work it should eat a similar modded Honda 250R's lunch. I will keep you guys up to date on the progress of this project--I think it will turn out to be one of the better dune quads I have ever owned.

Cool, Colby and Dusty are great people to deal with at C&D. I buy most of my stuff from them because of the service and they give me a disscount for belonging to EXRIDERS.COM. Keep us posted those quads are cool when done up right.
