My V-force has been backfiring alot! And its only when I get about half throttle for 2 or 3 seconds and let off the gas to slow down(only when hot). I have replaced the spark plugs, looked in the jets, and changed the fuel filter. Does anyone have that same problem? Thanks
mine backfires all the time...just when its hot and i go from full throttle to let completely off....pops once or twice....a friends yfz450 does the same thing...i think its nothing to worry about....unless someone says otherwise
It could be that your air/fuel screws need some "tweeking". Changes in outside temp. can cause this. Hopefully Bartlett or someone else will chime in to tell ya what needs to be done.
Didnt someone on here once say that its sometimes normal for it to backfire when going from WOT to nothing. Something to the effect that when the motor is getting WOT the motor is getting the proper amount of fuel for the rpm and that once you let off the throttle it doesnt have the proper amount of fuel it needs for the rpm you're at and goes into a lean condition causing the popping. Am I way off base??
...you have to get past half throttle for it to happen
...or ride WOT like your pants are on fire for a while, then cut the throttle
