Mods you've done to your Quad

This is a discussion on Mods you've done to your Quad within the Kawasaki KFX700 V-Force forums, part of the Kawasaki ATV Performance / Maintenance / Technical category; I'm going to add in the stuff from the old mods page "before the hack" but for now here is the thread... Don't be offended ...

Don't be offended if bantering is deleted, it's a thread for mods you've done to your bike. Special catch can for oil (still got pics bandaman?), different foot pegs, porting you've done, paint jobs, swingarm, etc.

Mentalstate created the original mod page.

thanks dvader for the reminder to get this going again.

Pictures are welcome and try to describe step by step how you did things...

Here's a pic of the hood I made out of fiberglass. It's a bad pic, but I'll add some better ones shortly

If your interested in making your own, do a search on a thread named "how to make your own hood"

<764 add> http://www.kawieriders.com/forums/index.ph...562&hl=hood

Thanks 764

Here something I done to my BF 650 SRA model to reduce weight

First you will need to remove your Storage box from under your seat, for it to fit like I have it.

I removed the Fuel tank which on the Prairie and Brutes is Offset to one side

Then I cut the plug end off where it plaus to the tanks factory plug for the Fuel Pump

Then I put a 1.5 Gallon Fuel Cell in between the rear frame rails

I went to Napa and got a Electric Fuel Pump

I mounted the Pump and the Electrical tray forund on Prairies and Brutes

I wired the Pump to factory wiring so when the key turns on it prims the system, after it prims the pump will stop

and when you start it the pump starts back the same as the factory setup

This is a easy mod to lose alot of weight for all you Drag Racers like me,Those tanks are Heavy!!!!Here is a few pics of it finshed

Tie-Rods...I see we have a lot of new members again...probably don't know how dangerous the weak tie-rods can be...change them out. Also the ends tend to wear easily...simple fix is replacing them with Honda EX 400 ends.

This is a cosmetic mod but i think it is still cool. Took old broken plastic and some L brackets and made headlight covers
