Searching for who runs what as far as jetting goes is beginning to be a pain. You cannot use "36" in the search. So, can we just have those that run 36's on big bores list their engine combo and jet sizes.

I was advised to run certain sized jets with my combo, but the quad would run like turd after 1/2 throttle. I had to drop 28 sizes to get it to run correct. No popping what-so-ever at this point. Plugs look a little sooty, described as a lean condition by another member. I'm now at 132/135.

So, please list your engine combo, carb/filter/intake set ups, exhaust, ignition, elevation, and your jetting. Advise if your jetting was the result of the LM1 or dyno tune.

My engine details are in my sig.
I'm running 142/145 and is running rich on my LM1 and John's Dyno. I'm still waiting for jets,it's been 6 weeks
The engine is now apart and getting upgraded

When I had the fst 715 with 36mm carbs I had 42 pilots 2 shims on the needles which is stock f4 shims. that measures out to .030 148 front 145 rear mains. it was around 45 deg outside when I was at the last drag race I went to. By the way when Glenn tore the motor down it was a tad lean. I have a fast meter that I had it tuned with back in the summer when I put the 36's on in the summer I was 145 front and 142 rear on the mains.

fst 715
stage three cams
stock boots
no head porting
900 ft elevation
no air box
k/n filters
outwears cover
muzzy pro pipe
100 octane turbo blue unleaded
fst/white bros cdi

Vader's stock engine is the only one that I ever heard of that ran better with a smaller rear main jet.
I never looked at what pilot jets came with the carbs, the needles that they have are adjustable and they are set one groove up from the bottom.

I have no idea wtf is going on with the 764... but, I tried to run 165 front and rear today.... it was a turd. I went back to 172 front and 175 rear... ran loads better... Went up to a 178 front and 180 rear and ran just as good ir not better. This was racing confirmed.

Maybe the longer stroke has something to do with that

730cc
proted heads stock valves
cwr 450 lift cams
big gun rev box
drag pipe
stock unported intake boots
42 piolets
130-135 jets

i believe the reason for so many diffrant jettings are the carbs not all have the same type of 36mm carbs and not all have the same needles so it kinda makes it a guessing game
