I don't need the lowering. If I want to lower it, I could get the lowering kit from Venforcer. I would mainly just like to have softer springs. The stockers are very harsh. They may be alright for someone 220+ lbs but I am 180 and they are way too stiff. A softer spring with the same ride height would be the way to go.

i would think just softer. im 265 and feel like if i try a donut ill roll the bike on top of myself. lowerong would be nice, but then the loss of ground clearance would kinda suck for trail riding

I think that softer springs used in conjuction with Venforcer's lowering kit would be a nice setup (if you wanted to go lower).
Would you make only one spring rate or a few different ones based on rider weight. Seems like a softer spring for a 180-lb rider would be too soft for a 260-275 lb rider.

I'd only be interested in a softer OEM replacement springs. I'm 150 and the stock springs beat me to death. Softer springs would be the perfect mod for the V.

Should only take a couple of weeks to get some prototype sets out.

I am really looking forward to the outcome of this. When I put the Works triple-rate shocks on the front of my green V it was WAY better because they are softer. The same thing would be nice to do to the rear shock. My orange V is stock all the way around so that one could benefit from a whole set.
If it helps at all, a tech at Works told me the spring rates of the springs on the front shocks that I have. I had bought them used and had no idea of the spring rates. I measured them with a calipers and he knew exactly what spring rates they were. The uppers (blue) are 600-lb, the middle ones (black) are 900-lb, and the lower main spring (red) is 235-lb. I don't know if any of that info would apply or help for the springs you are trying to setup. Here's a picture.
