if they make it for the v's a triple or double rate spring would be alot softer and smoother and use same travel

Default 2 inch rear lowering kit

I have made a 2" rear shock lowering kit for my v. It is great. I run Oval and TT races and have no problems with this. I am useing a stock shock with this part.

On my green V I am running a 2.5" ID x 10" long QA1 coilover spring with a 225-lb spring rate and I had a local guy rebuild my rear shock and make the rebound 25% quicker. I had to have some spacers made for inside the ends of the springs because the stock springs are 2 3/8" ID. It seems way better now but some of that is from the +4 extension. I did all those things at the same time.

Ok guys I just dropped off my kfx 700 about 2 hours ago, they removed the front springs and checked the rate. The OEM springs are a 265 lb rate. for the fronts they are going to make a 200lb rate spring and a 220 lb rate spring. they want me to come back after they install them and see which ones i like, they should have prototypes made within the week.

Are they doing anything with the rear spring? I think I had read somewhere that it was measured at a 270-lb/365-lb dual-rate but I could be way off.

After you try them out if would help if you could tell us your weight so we can get an idea if they would feel similar for us.

I almost bet that for some of the lighter riders, a lighter spring yet may even have good results. Something like a 175-lb maybe?
