Default Transmission out?

I unloaded my quad this past saturday at the ohio Gncc and when i put it in drive and it would go about 5 feet and lock up. But it would go as far as you wanted in reverse. it would also roll fine in neutral. Has anyone experienced this?

Also its not the brakes, we swapped swingarms already and the problem persists.

Is the shifter still on the bars or one of the shorties?? maybe it is out of adjustment and not fully engaging or could be bent or broken teeth in the tranny.

Any other suggestions? We broke the case down and still can't figure out the problem. Everything looked good.

Does the kaw have a chain in the tranny?

If you put it in gear and push it does it lock up?
