vforcejohn's dyno would say to get the muzzy if your going after power. theyre also supposed to be as quiet as stock. if you want a good deal on the muzzy john also sells them on here.

Just put an HMF on mine, love the sound!! It is very loud, but thats what I was after. I'm not going to jump out and say "yeah it gave me more power", I havn't jetted the bike yet, but it feels noticably different already.

Lots have unique sounds. Muzzy is a deep sound...pretty cool, not sure if they fixed the heat issue (burn you leg if your not careful). HMF, LOUD, Aliens very unique deep throaty sound.

With a stock engine, you will only get 1-2 HP gain. It does help a bit, and if you can find a sound you like it is great to have the duals.

I have had muzzy, aliens, HMF, and LTE's. As far as sound, I like the aliens, followed by LTE, Muzzy, and HMF.

Good luck with your choice.

The Muzzy has a similar sound to the HMF's in my opinion, just not near as loud. I like the sound of my HMF's with the spark arrestors in. With them out, they are VERY loud. If I need to quiet it down (like for my trail ride this weekend), I put my quiet cores in. They take away a lot of power on the top end but most of the time I don't need it on the trails. With the quiet cores in, my HMF duals were sound tested at 92db a couple of times (at the low RPM that they normally test at). Without them and only the spark arrestors, I would guess that I would be around 100db and straight open would probably be 103-105db.

I think there is really only maybe 2-4hp difference between the HMF duals and the Muzzy for stock bore machines. The Muzzy being the higher one. I got a deal on my HMF duals really cheap so that is what I am running. The HP gain for me to go to the Muzzy isn't enough by itself. My only reason to change would be if I got sick of the HMF sound.

If you are buying new, I would say go with the Muzzy because it is a good exhaust, makes the most power, and is less money than the HMF duals. That is, unless you are dead-set on having dual exhaust. If you are buying used, I think either would be fine.

I have had both the HMF duals and the Muzzy. I can tell you that the HMFs are loud as you can get but do not make near as much power as the Muzzy.

I have been told by every single person that has ridden with me that my muzzy has an EXCELLENT sound.

The HMF's were too loud for me. For the price you cannot beat Muzzy exhaust
