with his power and S/C torque he could prob put in 65 gram weights and still pull hard.

The reason Zmann is having belt problems is he is geared for probably 135 mph. there is no bevel gear reduction or final drive reduction with the chain drive and is running 3.15 gear ratio right off the lower transmission gears to a sprocket.

it's a little more then metal having both of the lowest german gear ratio's installed in his bike.

You didn't crap on it Z. I will play with clutch when I figure out stuff like how to keep the motor from splitting in half.

well, I am trying to politely say you might want to worry a bit about that now... if you are hitting the limiter or overevving due to to light of a clutch set up... not trying to add to your worries.. but, I would guess that thing hits HARD right away so. like vfj said.. you can and should run some heavy weights on it.

That test was slick knobbies on pavement. It doesn't do that with huge paddles on sand, up hill even.

Plus you gotta remember the higher my revs the more boost. Lower it with more weight might hurt.

Wish I had one more weekend before todays race.

The Hill at Glamis is much steeper than Banshee hill at Dumont or any of the small hills around here at Apex. The carbs would flood the bike when the bike was tilted back going up the hill. Even worse coming back down.

Once it cleared out it would run fine,I could stay in the throttle and drive through the flooding and all the way to the top of the hill it would run just fine. Then on the way back down it would flood again.

I got some ideas to fix this, and I thought it might happen, I just needed time.

got plenty of time now... the next race is not until october!

The race was today. I drove 5 hours to get there. Tested for a couple hours, then just packed up and came home.

I'm still happy I went. It showed me another problem to fix that I would never have experienced at Apex. I'm not even sure it would happen at Banshee hill. That hill is not very steep.

EDIT: oh and BTW. One test I did, I put all four main jets in, and disconnected the boost reference. That is basically just plain ole set of demons sitting on top of the bike. Actually worked slightly better that way...LOL I am guessing it made it harder to flood the bike when it was at an angle. Ran to the top of the hill just fine as soon as I drove through the flooding at the base.

I know the jeep and off road folks have some different carb they use to combat any issue with them being at really steep angles.... not sure exactly what is different internally... just know my off road buddies went to some truck avenanger holley carb cause they were getting a lot of crap when they were at some weird angles rock crawling/ mudding.

Which way do you have it mounted, Metal?

Bowls pointing front and back or side to side?
