I run it on one cylinder, put the tester on the other cylinder. It will run. Otherwise the readings arent very accurate. This is how I do it on my pro street car, I do it on my snowmobiles too. 43-75 just seems low. I know on a two stroke anything under 100 psi is bad.

Correct. If it starts, the compression should be okay.
But I'm with The Speed Force; it ran good, ran out of oil, runs crappy. Look at everything that lack of oil could have affected.
You didn't do anything else other than put in more oil; i.e. worked on something else while it was in the shop for the oil refill?

OH ok. I didnt know there was a compression relief. How stupid am I? So the compression relief must come on automatically?

Yes it is a spring loaded, centrifugally deactivated, pin on each cam...
which holds the exhaust valve slightly open @ low RPM...
then moves down/into the cams, once the cams/engine gets to a preset RPM...
