Default CCP Steering Stabilizer Reviews

Thought it would be best to start a new thread for reviews of the CCP steering stabilizers.

Here is a copy/paste of my review:

I am DEFINITELY pleased with the stabilizer. I rode around in the dunes a lot more yesterday than I normally do (usually spend more time drag racing) and my wrists/forearms aren't even sore today. Usually they are a bit stiff the day after riding all day. I had the stabilizer set to the #3 setting (has 1-8 with #1 being the stiffest) and it gave a lot of control but didn't seem to be too stiff for the type of riding I was doing. If I was doing a lot more tighter turns, I would have probably put it at #4 or #5 setting because #3 might have made the steering feel too heavy. I didn't have to have nowhere near the "death-grip" that I usually have on the handlebar grips with this stabilizer (even compared to a stick stabilizer). I ran across some pretty deep ruts in the sand that were made by trucks at both high and low speeds and I could definitely tell it was better than my old stick-type. I could still feel the ruts but it didn't have that abrupt jerking feeling that I experienced before. Also, the higher my speed, the less I felt the ruts. I like it enough that I am buying a 2nd one for my other V and will be selling my stick stabilizer even though I don't really ride that one myself that much. I would recommend this stabilizer to anyone that doesn't want to spend $500 on a Precision. The Precision is probably better but I can't imagine it is worth 2.5 times the price.

Come on now. You haven't even installed it yet.

I was hoping to get some REAL reviews in this thread for others down the road that are looking for a stabilizer.

Thanks Kev, I appreceate this. I'm pretty sure I'll get some for mine after the discussions I followed. Contacted CNC and they will ship to me when I get to Oregon. Too bad I didn't have one last week at St A's. Smee

Got mine yesterday and had it installed within 45 minutes of leaving the post office (It took 30 minutes to get home). Will be going out for a decent ride this weekend although initially I will complain that it's too shiny.
But I will say I'm amazed at the amount of resistance It gave on hardest setting....when would anyone EVER need the much stabilizing

I installed mine in about 10 minutes. When I first took it around the track I was hitting everything I could. (ruts, off camber jumps, concrete, ) We started racing and running into each other on purpose. I cant really tell any comparisons between this and another brand or type, but just know that the money spent on this vs. how much difference it makes is really good. Everybody around here wants one now.
