This is my last lack-of-manual post, I promise!

I called today, repairmanual.com says that they are shipping it out today.

However, my powervalves came in today, so I can finally put my engine back together.

Can someone supply me the torque specs for:

1) The head bolts
2) The large nut that holds the clutch basket on

Thanks!

Head bolt torque is 18 ft-lb for the 8mm, 87 in-lb for the 6mm. Tighten 8 mm;s first.

Nut for clutch basket is 65 ft-lb.

Well...she is back up and running.

I need a new carb/intake boot. Mine is all cracked and it is running lean. Also, the side case is leaking ATF. I need to take it back off. The previous owner did not have a gasket on it and had sealed the entire side case with silicone. I have a new gasket, which was coated in Permatex Copper, but it is still leaking. I assume that there is a high spot or a bad scratch in the sealing surface.

I didn't have much luck with the clutch cover gasket either. I just use case sealer

Hey are the head torque spec right from the manual? I was told (and have always used) 20 ft. lbs.

Either way, make sure you re-torque them again after a couple heat cycles.

Every day when I wake up, I beat my own personal record for most consecutive days alive...
