banging noise
Is this normal for the mule 3010 / 2005 model. When I take it out of 4 wheel drive I stop put it in neutral and place it in 2 wheel drive after a short distance it comes out of 4 wheel drive with such a bang that the front end seem like its going to lock up. Any body ever experience this problem. The mule has done this since I bought it new just use it for hunting hours on the mule 526.

I don't think this is normal at all. Not owning a mule i don't know their quirks but if it doesn't sound good... it probably isn't good.

Rundown, Thanks for the reply I am going start drilling down on the problem before I take a 1 hour drive to the dealer. Should have taken it back years ago.

I have a 2510 that was doing the same exact thing. Easy solution; every time I take it out of 4 wheel drive, I back it up for 10 - 20 feet to ease it out. No banging. Works every time. I am really surprised that you have not had any reply's with this solution. I remember having to dig really hard to find this out myself and it seems so simple.
Good luck.

It's most likely a simple cable adjustment allowing the 4x4 to totally disengage by loosening the adjustment on the cable .

Same Problem
I have the same issue with my 3010. I am waiting for my service manual to arrive, but would like to make that adjustment. Where do I find the adjustment?
Thanks
