We were looking to "spice up" our 2008 Kawasaki KFX450R cosmetically with some high end race parts, so we went directly to the kings of carbon fiber,
Quad Tech ATV, to see what they had to offer. Right away we knew we wanted one of their super-trick Lo-Pro Carbon Fiber Racing Hoods, so the order was placed and within a few days, we received our package!
It's no secret by now that
Quad Tech ATV produces some of the nicest carbon fiber ATV parts on the planet, and we weren't surprised at all when first setting our eyes on the hood. The quality and craftsmanship is just amazing, and you almost don't want to install it because it's just so beautiful. The UV-resistant clear coat finish is super glossy, and the polished billet aluminum grill insert just screams "racey"! You would think this is some sort of "one-off" custom part not available to the general public, but it's not.
Installation takes all of 5 minutes. Simply remove your OEM hood, place the Quad Tech ATV carbon fiber hood over your plastic where it fits, and make four marks with a marker onto your plastic through the pre-drilled holes in the hood. Remove the hood, drill through the marks, and attach the hood with the supplied push rivets. Yes, it's that simple and quick.
We can't say enough about this carbon fiber hood from
Quad Tech ATV. It's a little pricey at $225, but what carbon fiber of this caliber isn't? The fit and finish is top-notch, the quality is amazing, and the customer service provided is second to none.
