2007 Brute force Not Charging. Battery dead

I need some help. I have a 2007 Brute Force 750 i that sat for 4 months while I was building my garage. I went to start it and it was dead. I boosted it my riding lawn mower and it started. As I took the booster cables off ,it stalled.
I removed the batery and had it charge on the 1.5 amp for 10 hours. 12 volt . I put it in my atv and it slowley turned over. Batter on the meter was at 8 volts after 4 minute warm up and was not charging. Funny thing is when I turned on the lights the volt meter showed 13.7 volts then the atv stalled. Anything I should look at? I never had a problem before. I put the stock computer back in and the ame thing.

I believe there should be a constant 14.8 volts while the engine is running. Sounds like a short in the wiring I'd geuess a mouse got ahold of it.

Put the battery on a good charger and now it seams to be fine. Runs and starts fine and if the pull the neg side of the battery the engine still runs.

Here are some pictures of my garage 50 x 80 x 18 high.
