Aburket---Welcome to KR---There's quite a list of bolt on DIY stuff---You can start a signature with year and mods done so far---Easier for everyone--Some things you can look up in the search.

Basically free
Change primary spring
12 hole mod
dual exhaust
jetting
shim needles, polish slides, cut springs
spark plug boot mod
cross over intake mod
$$$$$$$$$$--Cut Clutch

Others will chime in--So look up some of the above while your waiting.

Welcome to KR! Checkout the mods in my signature they are working pretty good for me! Need to know your elevation to get the jetting close. And most of all get your checkbook ready! Lol:lol:

OK, so how do i polish the slides? Which side, or do i polish both?

What spark plug boot mod?

What intake crossover mod?

Thanks
Do a search on all that stuff...
there's more info than you can imagine!!!
I also recommend 700v.com...
or you can get there by going to the sticky "Primary Spring Chart" @ the top of the V forum.....
oh yea...
Welcome aboard...
it's a wild ride...
keep your eyes open and your mouth shut....
Them bugs are big...and crunchy!!!
definately thinking either the muzzy or pro-circuitT-4 for exhaust. For jet kit, I'm in NH so not much elevation. Gets cold though. I was thinking dynajet jet kit but they said it doesnt come with pilot needles. I need a kit where i can change the primary spring for winter riding (10-30 degrees) as apposed to summer riding (70-90 degrees). probably cant keep the machine jetted right with the same needles with up to 80 degree temp. swing?
What year is it---What color---Make up a sig like we have at the bottom---Mine is green but they say the orange is way faster, (mostly cause they use after market muffler bearings)---Anyhow let us know when your ready to start spending and the guys will chime in and help you with the different DIY mods.

Kenny
I have both the Renegade and the KFX in the garage. The Rengade is fast!
alls I got is a kfx, but I'll race that canned ham of yours Greg :p
I bet you will Tom
Dont start singing Can-Am praises on a Kawa forum!! I'll save 4 grand and put a Fst 730 kit in the KFX and toy with a renegade!
I have a 2005 KFX IG orange and black. K&N filter Muzzy exhaust, any advice on jet kits??
you don't use "jet kits" they make it run like crap.

search for the "12 hole mod" and jet accordingly with correct KEIHIN jets.

Just go to the top of the page and click on quick links and then on edit signature---Then just type in the same info and it will come up every time you post.

haha, I knew you were feeling that spank pretty hard. by the way, you had me off the line in 2wd cuz you had twice as many studs in your tires! wait till we get on dirt!

he can just as easily put an 840, a 912, or a 1004 kit in the renegade, nothing you do short of a Busa motor will come close!
Busa...
To polish the slides you're going to need elbow grease, which can be found here.

Elbow Grease [GRS08] - $6.95 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!

You can install these piston return springs for an extra 15 hp

Piston Return Spring - $14.99 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!

That's about all I can come up with.

No but seriously, stay with a muzzy exhaust, they make the best power so far to date (dyno proven). VForcejohn is a dealer.

How's that elbow grease work in achy joints? I think mine are low and need refilling.
