Mule was doing great and had belt replaced 2-3 months ago. Today it decided it would no longer want to stay in drive. I put it in drive gear at idle, and try to give it some gas to start rolling forward, and it slips back to neutral. It will slip regardless of 2X4 or 4X4, but will go into reverse no issue at all drive backwards forever. It does have at least 1100 hours and is a farm mule meaning normal to moderate use 2-4 times a week.

Any suggestions on were to start investigating to solve this issue would be great!

Thanks!

I'd try adjusting the shift cable first. Here's a pic of the shop manual instructions.

I second shift cable adjustment. My 2510 would jump out of High range when it was new. Simple adjustment fixed it.
