Hello I'm new to this forum and new to ATV's as well. I picked up a 1997 220 Bayou and the rear brake linkage is totally locked up. I pulled the drum and there is nothing inside. The activator arm for the brake shoe cam is compleley seized in the backing plate. I've picked up a complete rear brake assembly as I feel that's the best way to address it. My questions is, after I remove the four bolts holding the backing plate to the axle tube, will the backing plate just come off or are there other procedures that I will have to address? Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Mike
