I recently aquired a 2001 Kawasaki Lakota Sport quad.

I have a couple of questions in regards to the quad.

The stock airbox was removed from the quad and there is just a cone filter there. Is this ok? Or does there need to be a airbox for the quad to run to its max. If an airbox is needed does anyone have one for sale. Will the mojave airboxes fit?? If so what years/models.

Also, will the quad benefit from a stage 1 jet kit?

Thanks,
Steve

If it runs fine leave it be. The stock airbox is so restrictive it does more harm than good. ( allows the bike to run rich and foul plugs) Unless you plan on doing swamp runs and mud bogs I would just leave it like it is but do keep the filter clean. Also replace that cone with a good large uni filter.
